I bought this refrigerator some months back.Ive had it long enough to know that I am extremely happy with it. My former fridge was a big side by side with water and ice in door. It was so deep I could hardly reach the back, and couldn't reach clear to the back when cleaning the top of it! An extension was needed. I do not have other people using it, opening and closing, so no need for water/ice outside door. The ice chute on the side by side was hard to keep clean and free of dusty, mildew looking stuff in the chute. I LOVE the inset handles on the side of door of my Amana.No cleaning around a big handle! It's easy to clean, and seems to hold almost as much as the side by side because I had to set everything closer to the front on the old one just to get to it. And I can easily reach all parts to clean. After learning how to set the temp it is just right. My milk is COLD the way I like it and my veggies stay fresh in the crisper.I have an icemaker, works fine. I am very happy with my purchase and the price was great.

A new refridgerator!

With all the recent power outages in California during the last couple of months, my old fridge, that came with the house 7 years ago, just couldn't make it. So, this new Amana is great. It is a little smaller than the one that quit, but it is plenty big enough for the 2 of us. And, it did great with all the Thanksgiving extras like the turkey, pies, cheese platters, etc.

My wife and I love our new Amana 30" refrigerator/freezer. It looks stylish and seems twice as large as our older old, though it is only a few cubic inches larger. I believe this is due to the door storage capacity. The glass shelves makes finding food items much easier as well. I have to store insulin, and the shelf above the crisper (about 4" wide and runs the lenghth of the refrig. is the perferct storage place for it. We feel it was our best home urchace this year, and the last several years.

Replacement for our 20 year old AMANA

Since our last Amana refrigerator served us very well (with no major problems) it was a no brainer as to what brand we would be purchasing. As the example stated, we purchased the appliance about a month ago. The one we replaced was a Frigidaire which only ran for 5 years. The same size as the Amana. Thus far it runs much quieter and runs not as often. I know most unites come out of Mexico , and would like to know where this unit was assembled. Also there is no Energy Star on any of the information which does not give us a rebate on energy savings rebates which is a minus on this product. If we did not have an emergency to purchase right away and had time to survey our options we may have purchased a ENERGY STAR product.

Handles on the side

Bought it 2 months ago. It has so much room and more shelves on the door than any other refrigerator I've ever owned. Looks sharp.

I bought this refrig for my garage as an 'extra'. It replaced a 25 year old side by side and it's a great appliance. Lots of room, glass shelves a plus to you can see easily and makes cleanup easy. Very quiet as well and compact with no handles that stick out.
